Melissa received the 2011 Bravo Award for Best Youth Dubbing Actress for her work in the film Super 8 and the 2015 Bravo Award for Best Youth Dubbing Actress for the film Interstellar. Currently along with her dubbing career, she is also working on her solo career under the name of Meli G, releasing the first single "Junto a ti" followed by "Entre la fog", and in December 2016 she released her third single "Something in you".
Meli G participated in the reality show La Voz of the television network TV Azteca. She was part of the Belinda team, using her stage name.
She currently works more on song projects which prevents her from doing dubbing in a certain part.
