Koto is a black rabbit that the monk Myoue drew to life. She fell in love with Myoue and Bodhisattva had given her a human body under condition that she will transform back once her love becomes mutual. Koto and Myoue lived together as a couple and adopted three children. As time passed nightmares started to haunt Koto about the destruction of the City Through the Looking Glass, because she didn't fulfill her end of promise with Bodhisattva. In the end she had to leave the place together with Myoue, leaving their children behind.
