Van-Fem is an Elder Title, one of the original Dead Apostle Ancestors who has lived since the Age of Gods. He became a vampire through his own magecraft, rather than being bitten by another vampire. He chose to become a Dead Apostle as a result of taking his magecraft to its ultimate conclusion.
