Garugaru are the main monsters in Wonderful Pretty Cure!. A Garugaru starts in a black and yellow egg form, then hatch into a large, dark animal with a grey and red mask.
All Garugaru are corrupted forms of animals from the Niko Garden. Since they are still animals underneath, the Pretty Cures avoid fighting them head-on, instead appealing to their original nature through play.
