Yuuya was born healthy but with an appearance that was nowhere near attractive, described as being 'ugly' by his own blood parents, he was unusually fat and couldn't lose weight no matter how much he tried. He had thin small eyes, a huge pig nose with small nostrils, and rounded cheeks, and although his cheekbones were defined, his whole face was fat, swollen, and covered in acne and freckles. The hair on his head was thin and had some bald spots.

After finding the door to another world by accident and gaining a huge level-up, Yuuya's appearance skyrocketed to the point where he's described as someone who's more beautiful and sexy than anyone else. His appearance is so impossibly beautiful, that he attracts attention everywhere he goes. He also got an athletic body with a robust build. He has 6-pack abs in the original Light Novel and an 8-pack abs in the anime. He is always seen wearing his Bloody Demon War Series while fighting. He has spiky brown hair with a little strand between his eyes.

Ever since Yuuya was discriminated against by everyone except for his grandfather, he has had an inferiority complex that sometimes eats at him. Because of that, he doesn't have much confidence to stand up for himself and gets oppressed even if he does. Though he is extremely regretful of his upside-down life, he never stops being a kind person. He always puts his grandfather's teachings and ethics in practice as he was the only one to ever show human kindness and also made him a "too good of a person". He showed extreme anger at his own face as he punched the mirror over and over again, desperately trying to erase his face in the reflection.
