Genzou is a pro wrestler and an animal lover, frequently accompanied by his small dog, Hiroyuki. Even mentions of harming an animal are enough to send him over the edge, and whoever voices such thoughts quickly finds themselves wishing they didn't.

When he is summoned by princess Altena to her world, Genzou refuses to comply with her demands of eradicating beasts and instead sets out to earn enough money to open up a pet shop (in a world that has no concept of pets) and save as many beasts as he can from being abused or killed.

However, this proves to be harder than he initially thought, as Genzou tends to pick up many (large and dangerous) animals without caring about food costs. This is a source of endless frustration for Shigure, who tags along and manages the household's finances.
