This devout young monk carries a stone Buddha on his back. He can sometimes be heard shouting "Master! Master!" to the Buddha. His voice has a melodic edge to it. He is kindhearted, distancing himself from trivial worldly affairs. All monks must abstain from alcohol, meat and female charms, but he is content to live a simple life. Perhaps this is what Buddhists mean by "true strength lies in the absence of desire."
