Benkei Musashibo is a hedonistic and gluttonous apprentice warrior-monk and the pilot of Getter-3.

His character is a homage to the various Getter-3 pilots from previous Getter Robo series - namely Benkei and Musashi, though he does share some aspects of his appearance and his status as a monk with Baku Yamagishi of Getter Robo Āḥ.

His name is both a combination of Benkei's and Musashi's as well as a reference to the legendary Japanese warrior-monk, Saitō Musashibō Benkei.
