A very agile boy of a race called "forest people." He is a friend to all the insects of the forest. His clothes are made of grass, and his weapons are handmade boomerangs.

He sets out on a journey with a circus troupe to look for his father and investigate why an unusual change happened in the peaceful forest.

He has the Protector's Proof, a mysterious acorn type pendant which his father left him. Protector's Proof emits a light that calls the "Mushiking" which is a mysterious, powerful beetle, to Popo's aid.
