Tenichi Shoukyousai, or Charlie, is the magician whom sends the protagonist, Mei Ayazuki, to the Meiji-era. He is seen as suspicious at first, but is revealed to be playful and caring, and he also displays some masochist traits.

It is later revealed that Charlie is actually the spirit of the Fox charm from Mei’s phone which was originally from her family’s antique store. Charlie’s main wish is to protect Mei and to see her smile, hence the reason why he sent her to the Meiji-era to begin with.
