A high school freshman, Kayo is a member of the Aogiri High School Survival Game Club. She goes to the same class as Momoka, Class C, but wasn't initially noticed. She doesn't talk much. She admits that she has no interest in survival games but joined the club because of her love for cosplaying. She sews her own costumes.

She once displayed her cosplaying talent to Momoka in order to start a conversation with her because she didn't want to "seem like an otaku" by suddenly bringing it up.
